Revamped Electric, LLC SMS Compliance Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 26, 2025
Revamped Electric, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding SMS communications. This SMS Compliance Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information in connection with our SMS messaging program. We provide electrician service calls and related services, and we use SMS to communicate with you about appointments, updates, promotions, and other relevant information.
By opting in to receive SMS messages from us, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not opt in or provide your phone number.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information for our SMS program:
- Your mobile phone number.
- Opt-in data, such as the date, time, and method of your consent (e.g., via website form, text message, or in-person signup).
- Any additional information you voluntarily provide, such as your name, address, or service preferences, when opting in or responding to messages.
We do not collect sensitive personal information through our SMS program unless explicitly provided by you for service-related purposes.
2. How We Collect Information
- Opt-In Process: You may opt in to receive SMS messages by providing your mobile phone number and explicitly consenting through our website, during a service call signup, or by texting a keyword (e.g., “JOIN” or “ELECTRIC”) to our short code or long code number. Your opt-in confirms that you are the authorized user of the phone number and agree to receive automated SMS messages from us.
- Double Opt-In: In some cases, we may use a double opt-in process where we send a confirmation message requiring you to reply affirmatively (e.g., “YES”) to confirm your subscription.
- We may also collect information from your interactions with our SMS messages, such as responses or clicks on embedded links.
Message frequency varies based on your interactions and service needs (e.g., 1-5 messages per month). Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier plan. We are not responsible for any charges incurred.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely for the following purposes:
- To send you SMS messages related to our electrician services, including appointment reminders, service updates, promotions, tips, and customer support.
- To confirm your opt-in and manage your subscription preferences.
- To comply with legal requirements, such as maintaining records of consent.
- To improve our services and SMS program.
We will not use your information for any other purpose without your additional consent.
4. Consent and SMS Communications
By opting in, you provide express written consent to receive automated SMS messages from Revamped Electric, LLC, including marketing and informational texts, even if your number is on a Do Not Call list. This consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from us.
You represent that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and authorized to provide consent for the phone number.
5. Opt-Out and Withdrawal of Consent
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying “STOP” to any SMS message from us.
- Contacting us via email at admin@revampedelectric.com.
- Using any other opt-out method we provide in our messages.
Upon opting out, we will send a single confirmation message and then cease all non-essential SMS communications. Note that opting out of SMS does not affect other communications (e.g., email) unless you separately opt out. We will retain your opt-out records to honor your request.
For help, reply “HELP” to any message or contact us. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or share your opt-in data or phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With service providers who assist us in operating our SMS program (e.g., messaging platforms), under strict confidentiality agreements.
- As required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or regulatory request.
- In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger or acquisition, where the successor agrees to this Policy.
- To protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of others.
We comply with guidelines from organizations like the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA) and ensure our practices align with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. This includes encryption where appropriate and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain your phone number and opt-in data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, or as required by law (e.g., to maintain consent records for TCPA compliance, typically at least 4 years). If you opt out, we retain minimal information to prevent future messages and comply with legal obligations.
9. Your Rights
Depending on applicable laws (e.g., CCPA in California or similar), you may have rights to:
- Access or receive a copy of your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Opt out of the sale of your information (though we do not sell data).
To exercise these rights, contact us at admin@revampedelectric.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our SMS program is not directed to individuals under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
11. Compliance with Laws
This Policy is designed to comply with U.S. federal and state laws, including the TCPA, CAN-SPAM Act, and state privacy laws. We also adhere to industry best practices for SMS messaging, such as those from the CTIA and Mobile Marketing Association (MMA).
Supported carriers include major U.S. providers (e.g., AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile), but availability is not guaranteed. Not all carriers support all features.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Policy on our website and updating the Effective Date.
